Paris Jackson is celebrating another chapter in her sobriety journey.

Michael Jackson’s only daughter celebrated five years free from alcohol and heroin, conveying a heartfelt message on embracing the highs and lows that life presents.

Hello, I’m PK and I used to be a struggle with alcohol and heroin addiction. Today, as I celebrate 5 years free from all drugs and alcohol, I can’t find the right words to express my feelings. Beyond thankful doesn’t even begin to cover it. It’s my sobriety that lets me smile today, enjoy music, cherish my pets, and feel every bit of heartache. So here’s to another year of this incredible journey, filled with joy, love, and growth.

I have the privilege to mourn, to smile, to move to rhythm, and to put faith – Paris added. ‘The sun’s warmth touches me, and life goes on, whether I am under the influence or not. Today, though, I get to participate in this journey. Here’s a glimpse of what I could have missed out on due to my sobriety – something I never thought I would almost forgo. Thanks.

Her heartfelt message came along with a video illustrating the contrast between her life amidst her battle with addiction, and how much it’s transformed since she’s become sober.

At the outset of the video, Paris is captured indulging heavily in smoking and drinking at various social gatherings, parties, and privately. However, as the video continues, the “Let Down” singer is spotted shedding tears but eventually smiles more, abstaining from drug use or excessive drinking. She also shares sweet moments with her partner, Justin Long.

When the video ends, a final message of gratitude flashes across the screen.

For everyone who supported me along this journey, whether it was just at the start, during the middle, or so far, I want to express my gratitude – you know who you are, and I owe my life to you. Five years have passed, and I’m still grateful.

In just a few weeks, Paris reached another significant achievement in her sobriety journey, but another exciting development took place – her engagement to her partner and musical collaborator, Justin. She shared this wonderful news through a heartfelt birthday tribute for him.

She started her December 6th Instagram post by saying, “Happy birthday, my dear one. These past years living life together have been an incredible, wordless adventure, and I can’t imagine anyone more suited for me to share this journey.

She continued, “Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
