Enthusiasts of Ice-Pick Lodge’s underestimated game, Pathologic 2, are bound to be thrilled about the upcoming sequel set to release later this year. Yet, prior to that, a prologue titled, Pathologic 3: Quarantine, is being developed. This prologue offers an opportunity for gamers to experience the gameplay without any cost. Notably, it marks the first time players will journey to the Capital in the series.
In essence, Pathologic 3: Quarantine is similar to The Marble Nest in that it offers snippets of the main gameplay for Pathologic 3. Its purpose is also to introduce and develop the game’s world and set the stage for the storyline, which somewhat resembles an introduction. The release date for Pathologic 3: Quarantine is scheduled this year, with additional details to be revealed later on.
In this game, Daniil Dankovsky is the protagonist, who ventures into a secluded town affected by a plague, similar to the previous installment. Over the course of 12 days, it’s up to you, the player, to help save the town. However, the story can unfold based on your decisions, leading to unforeseen changes in the people’s behavior.
Time travel might allow you to alter past events to change certain outcomes, but it’s also possible to foresee how disastrous things could turn out in the future. This year, the game Pathologic 3 will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. Keep an eye out for further updates until then.
