Recently, another gem has joined the ranks of summer horror movies. Released a couple years back and now available on Peacock for wider appreciation, this film is a must-watch for any horror aficionado looking to enjoy the genre under the summer sun.
Titled “The Blackening“, produced by Dwayne Perkins and Tracy Oliver (under Tim Story’s direction), stands as one of the most entertaining horror-comedy and mystery films to grace the big screen in recent years. Originally premiered in summer 2023, “The Blackening” takes place on Juneteenth and follows a group of college friends who decide to rent a cabin in the woods for a holiday celebration.
