Peaky Blinders icon Cillian Murphy reveals eclectic playlist to celebrate spring season

Actor Cillian Murphy, known for his role in Peaky Blinders, recently shared a collection of tunes he’s been enjoying, which he named the Spring Playlist.

On Monday, the playlist was revealed through his production company Big Things Films, co-founded by Murphy and Irish producer Alan Moloney, on Instagram with the caption: “We’ve done it – it’s finally spring!

Big Things is starting to blossom! Here’s a brand-new playlist curated by Cillian to welcome the sunnier times ahead. Have fun listening!

This 23-song playlist boasts a diverse selection, encompassing tunes like “Feel Flows” by The Beach Boys, “Love of Country” by The Murder Capital, “People Watching” by Sam Fender, and “Flood” by Little Simz, among others.

In the chill of November last year, I found myself immersed in Small Things Like These, a gripping historical drama from Big Things Films. This poignant tale is adapted from Claire Keegan’s novel and centers around coal merchant Bill Furlong (Murphy), who unwittingly bears witness to the harsh reality of a Magdalene Laundry within a quaint Irish town.

In their upcoming work, Steve, they plan to transform Max Porter’s book titled “Shy” into a production. This story revolves around a day in the life of its central character, Murphy, who is a headteacher. He faces challenges in maintaining discipline among his students while simultaneously dealing with issues related to his mental health.
