Pedro Pascal shares first Fantastic Four cast pic – 1 year before release

As a dedicated cinema devotee with a deep-rooted passion for Marvel movies, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that production on the highly anticipated 2025 release of Marvel’s Fantastic Four is finally set to begin next week! And what’s more, we now have the first official cast photo to feast our eyes on.

The production for Marvel’s long-awaited Fantastic Four, scheduled for release in 2025, is about to begin the following week following San Diego Comic Con. But here’s the best part: we have an amazing piece of news to share with you.

As someone who has been eagerly anticipating the upcoming movie for quite some time now, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and satisfaction upon seeing the complete cast photo, finally revealed by Pedro Pascal. It’s been a long wait, with countless speculations and guesswork, but now, one year before its release, we have a clearer picture of what to expect from this highly-anticipated production. With each new addition to the cast, my anticipation has only grown stronger, fueled by my past experiences of being left in suspense for too long. But now, with a complete cast in place, I can’t help but feel that we are one step closer to experiencing the magic that this movie will surely bring.

Posting a picture of us (him, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss- Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn) on Instagram, he captioned it: “Our initial assignment.”

In the second slide of the carousel, you’ll find an image of Matt Shakman, a renowned director who has made a name for himself through his contributions to “Game of Thrones” and “WandaVision” productions.

The photograph has been widely popular on social media, drawing swift and enthusiastic reactions from fans as they anticipate the approaching release, scheduled for cinemas in one year’s time.

Pedro Pascal, the actor portraying Reed Richards in “The Fantastic Four,” recently unveiled the first group photo of the cast. This was taken just a year prior to the Marvel film’s theater release on July 25, 2025. The ensemble also comprises Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben.

In London’s designated setting for the image, fans’ excitement for the cast’s Comic Con appearance has been dampened. However, Marvel is famous for delivering unexpected twists, so a shocking announcement may still be in store.

It’s plausible that this could be a distraction, preventing people from assuming the actors will appear in San Diego.

Previously this year, the final cast selections for the new movie were announced with Ebon Moss-Bachrach of “The Bear” fame being revealed as Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing.

I’ve had the pleasure of working in Hollywood for several years now, and I’ve seen my fair share of casting announcements. But the one that recently caught my attention is the news about the new Fantastic Four film. I was truly thrilled when I heard that Jesse Plemons would be playing Pascal, but what really got me excited were the names of the other cast members.

I’m thrilled to share that Julia Garner from Ozark has been announced as the star for both Silver Surfer and Shalla-Bal in an upcoming project. Additionally, Ralph Ineson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne are also set to join the cast. Could we be in store for more casting announcements this weekend? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

During a podcast episode for Marvel, Kevin Feige, the studio’s president, announced that production for The Fantastic Four would begin on July 29, right after Comic Con ended.

In the same interview, Feige revealed that the film will be set in New York City during the 1960s. He mentioned, “We also unveiled another piece of artwork featuring Johnny Storm soaring above, with a ‘4’ symbol in his hand and a cityscape visible in the background.”

Many intelligent individuals pointed out that the cityscape didn’t perfectly resemble the New York we’re familiar with or the New York from the ’60s in our reality. These insights are astute and valid.

Fantastic Four is set for release on 25th July 2025.
