Penn Badgley is remembering his late costar Michelle Trachtenberg.

At a recent event for the premiere of the Netflix thriller series’ final season, the actor who played a leading role in the show expressed his thoughts on the death of one of his former co-stars from “Gossip Girl,” who was discovered dead in her apartment in February at the age of 39.

He shared with TopMob News as they walked the red carpet at the April 23 premiere that his recollection of her is marked by a hearty, infectious laughter. He added, ‘She was genuinely joyful. Like everyone, she had her moments, but what stood out about her was this youthful, bubbly, and cheerful laugh.’

Penn, who is now welcoming twins with his wife Domino Kirke, admitted it had been more than ten years since he last met the late actress. However, he promptly characterized her as having a “very kind and genuine spirit.
