There’s been a lot of talk about Microsoft possibly releasing some of their exclusive games on the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. So far, potential titles include Fable, Starfield, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and more. It looks like Perfect Dark from The Initiative could also be part of this lineup.
On January 22nd, a job posting for the role of Principal Graphics Engineer at The Initiative was made available (as noticed by @eXtas1stv). One of the duties in this position involves optimizing and maintaining the scalability of rendering features to accommodate various platforms and quality settings for the game titled Perfect Dark.
As a thrilled fan, I’m not yet certain but excitedly anticipating that the stealth action shooter is slated for release on both PC and Xbox Series X/S. Moreover, it’s intriguing to know that the Xbox versions might offer distinct settings tailored towards performance and quality. Interestingly, there are rumors swirling about Microsoft’s other titles potentially making their way onto Switch 2 and PS5 as well.
Keep an eye out for possible developments and potential announcements in the upcoming months, particularly since the Switch 2 Direct is set for April. Microsoft has just announced the release of Forza Horizon 5 for PS5 this Spring, and it’s rumored to also be heading to Nintendo’s forthcoming console as well.
