Perfect Dark Now Being Led by Former Marvel’s Wolverine Director

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the recent developments surrounding the Perfect Dark reboot have me more than just a little excited. The addition of Brian Horton as the new creative director is a move that, in my humble opinion, will take this classic secret agent series to new heights.

The general response towards the reboot of “Perfect Dark” has become much more favorable compared to recent years, after the unveiling of its gameplay earlier this year. Moreover, it appears that the project is under fresh management as it moves steadily towards launch.

According to Game File’s report, The Initiative has hired Brian Horton from Insomniac Games to take up the role of creative director for the upcoming Perfect Dark game. Previously, Horton was leading the creative team on Marvel’s Wolverine project. However, there seems to be a change in leadership at Insomniac as well.

Earlier in his career, Horton was behind the director’s chair for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Before that, he had experience working at Infinity Ward (known for Call of Duty) and Crystal Dynamics, a studio currently collaborating on Perfect Dark. His work included contributing to Rise of the Tomb Raider.

According to an Xbox representative, Horton is “drawing from his rich background as he works on the revival of the timeless spy show,” referring to the director’s involvement in the reboot of the popular ‘Perfect Dark’ series.

Development of the game “Perfect Dark” is currently underway for both Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms. However, as of now, there’s been no announcement regarding a specific release date or timeframe.
