With the new year of 2025 upon us, these enthusiasts are optimistic that the much-desired reveal could happen at an upcoming event, which is only a few weeks away.
According to a recent report from Windows Central, Xbox’s upcoming “Developer Direct” event on January 23rd is expected to introduce a new installment in an iconic Japanese game series. Although the specific franchise wasn’t disclosed, the hint has sparked speculation among Persona fans that it could be the announcement for Persona 6. However, other possibilities include games such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Ninja Gaiden, or Resident Evil.
If Persona 6 were unveiled during this Developer Direct event, it would align quite well given that Xbox and Atlus have collaborated frequently in recent years. Notably, Atlus chose Xbox events to debut both Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio worldwide for the first time. Considering this pattern, there’s a strong possibility that Atlus could repeat this strategy by introducing Persona 6 at another Xbox event.
