The Love Island cast for 2025 was only just announced, but it’s already one man down.
The broadcaster confirmed water operative Kyle Ashman won’t be entering the villa later this month.
As a cinephile, I’ve got some exclusive scoop to share – following reports by The Sun, it appears I’ve found myself on the receiving end of a police inquiry, linked to a chilling machete altercation that unfolded in Stafford.
He added: “I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation.”
Though he was questioned, he was never charged.
ITV issued a statement following Ashman’s departure, explaining that it was due to personal matters which led to his decision to leave.
The channel announced that due to personal matters, Kyle won’t be joining the Love Island Villa, as initially scheduled.
In other words, he won’t be part of the group that includes author Sophie Lee, personal trainer Dejon Noel-Williams, or gardener Tommy Bradley.
ITV has yet to announce a potential replacement.
