These characters include Laharl, Valvatorez, and Pirilika from the “Disgaea” series, along with Priere from “La Pucelle Tactics”, Cornet from “Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure”, and the widely adored Asagi!
In the distinctive 3D fashion of Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, each character is charmingly depicted. Players are eagerly anticipating witnessing the unique connection between these characters hailing from diverse realms as they unfold in Marona’s and her companions’ thrilling escapades!

Marina – Necessary Character: Apricot
By strengthening your pirate ship, you are able to increase your entire party’s stats.
Based on the pirate ship you select, your enhanced attributes will vary. These ships can perform functions such as boosting the experience points earned to aid in leveling up, or enhancing movement and jumping capabilities for maps featuring significant vertical differences. It’s recommended to pick the most suitable ship according to your current circumstances!
Skills – Necessary Unit: Fighter or Striker
—You gain skills by fulfilling the requirements to acquire them and then choosing them from the “Learn Skill” menu.
In simpler terms, skills represent various actions you can perform during a fight, including attacks, healing, or boosting abilities. Some skills unleash tremendous damage on one opponent, while others strike multiple enemies simultaneously. There are also skills that heal multiple teammates and more. Strategically selecting your skills can significantly impact the outcome of a battle!
Skills associated with a character’s class or race can boost their attributes, knock opponents off the battlefield, reduce damage received, enhance equipment capabilities, expand attack range, and offer numerous other advantages in combat. Spend some time experimenting and finding the perfect mix of abilities to conquer battles effortlessly!
While it’s true that you can acquire numerous skills, there comes a point when your capacity is reached, making it essential to discard some previously acquired skills occasionally. The “Forget Skill” command facilitates this process. Forgotten skills can be relearned whenever needed.
Fusion
You can enhance an item by combining it with Mana and resources. If you acquire a fresh weapon and discover that the one you’ve been using is no longer necessary, consider merging them through Fusion. This process will boost the HP and other attributes of the new weapon, enabling you to wield a more powerful version in combat.
You can also convert items into Mana to obtain the item’s Title!

Titles – Necessary Unit: Old Man
Titles serve as identifiers that influence a thing’s standing. Every object or entity carries a title since its creation, and each title has unique impacts. You are free to assign titles as you choose, so if you come across an item with a potent title, consider transferring it to another item!

You can assign titles to the dungeons you’ve built yourself. By giving a title to a dungeon, clearing each floor raises the title’s attributes! Battle through various dungeons to empower titles, which in turn can enhance your characters and equipment!
—”Whenever I bestow a title upon a dungeon, every creature within that labyrinth adopts the same name. Remember, tough fights lie ahead if I choose to brand a formidable title, so tread carefully!
Juice Bar – Necessary Unit: Chef
At the Juice Bar, you can transfer earned experience points among various characters. As you elevate the level of the Juice Bar, it allows for a greater amount of experience to be stored.
As a gamer, I’ve found that whipping up a drink at the Juice Bar instantly levels up a fresh recruit or swiftly brings back a reborn ally to their starting level. This handy little tool is a game-changer when it comes to boosting my characters’ might!
If you raise the EXP ratio at the Juice Bar above 100%, your characters won’t earn any EXP in battles, but the Juice Bar will gain more than 100% EXP instead! What a fantastic offer!
Awaken / Reincarnate – Necessary Unit: Marona
By using Awaken / Reincarnate, you can change a unit’s class or increase the Spirit (stat bonus).
Reviving a unit maintains its existing level, granting you the appropriate amount of Spirit in the process.
It’s a great way to keep the same class, race, and level while still powering that unit up.
—Use Spirit to add stat bonuses and strengthen your units!
In reincarnation, a character’s identity such as class or species may be altered, and they are returned to the beginning level (Level 1), but they keep their skills, powers, and titles from their previous life.
Upon your next life, you’ll inherit the Spirit level of that character, enabling you to boost their stats significantly, making them far stronger than an average entry-level unit. Furthermore, they’ll retain the Skills and Special Abilities from their previous class or race, which will make them a truly exceptional and distinctive entity on the battlefield.
In order to employ either the concept of Awakening or Reincarnation, it’s crucial to have specific artifacts known as “Changebooks” or “Eggs” on hand.
—A Fighter who has Reincarnated into a Witch retains the Fighter’s Wild Cry Ability.
Through continuous reincarnation, you can break free from class limitations and create units with your preferred skills!
Create Dungeons – Necessary Unit: Explorer
Through generating various labyrinths and conquering them, you can elevate your troops, discover loot, and enhance Titles. These labyrinths are constructed utilizing a Chart. The chart’s title influences the labyrinth’s position, enemies, statistics, and potential treasures.
In designing your own dungeon, feel free to pick its unique name. Upon successfully conquering the dungeon, the title you’ve chosen will be granted to you as a prize.
Be sure to level up all the Titles you create!
—Once you design a dungeon and successfully conquer it, the title you’ve chosen will be yours. Feel free to come up with unique and creative titles for a personal touch!
As you advance deeper into the dungeon, the difficulty level of the monsters will grow, making the title of the dungeon more powerful. Furthermore, the likelihood of discovering valuable, rare items will become higher as well.
Furthermore, some floors offer bonus experience points for you to earn extra EXP. Additionally, on every tenth floor, there’s a possibility of an event taking place where you may come across a unique dungeon-exclusive item called the Slot Machine.
This gives you the chance to earn more EXP, Mana, or BOR. If you’re lucky, you might get a rare item, but if you’re unlucky, something horrible might happen. Still, it’s a great chance to strike it rich and power up!
—However, if you are defeated in a dungeon, you will lose all obtained items and EXP. As you advance, enemies will get stronger and stronger. Be sure to exit the dungeon when you can, or proceed with the utmost caution!
—Aside from completely clearing every floor, you are only able to exit a dungeon every 10 floors by using the exit or at any time using the Explorer’s special command, Return. A grand total of 51 ghostly units are set to show up in this game, including beloved classics given fresh looks, old favorites sporting new costumes, and completely novel classes making their first appearance. Let’s explore a few distinctive classes found within the game:
Striker
Agile combatants proficient in wielding spears boast an exceptional skill: their attack strength amplifies as they move. This renders them an excellent pick for a swift and powerful warrior. However, bear in mind that while they have robust physical defenses, their magical protections are rather weak.
Wizard

Healer

So, when deployed as a backline healer, they’re doing their job effectively. They’re essentially the Heal Facility we can’t do without, and having at least one in our party will certainly make our adventure smoother.
Engineer
A distinctive class equipped with skills related to Gadgets, enabling you to accumulate additional Mana. These skills truly shine when there are Gadgets scattered across the map. To unleash their full potential, deploy them with Apricot!
Old Man
This character excels in close combat with various weapons and serves as an effective frontline fighter due to exceptional attack and defense capabilities. While he possesses some unique abilities, it’s his raw power that truly shines. However, keep in mind that he will only last for two turns before being taken out of action. Therefore, utilize him strategically when a quick burst of strength is necessary.
Granny
The class with the strongest humanoid magic backbone: She boasts a high intelligence and magical defense, impacting spell casting and healing abilities, respectively. Additionally, she possesses a high resistance, which can enhance the area of effect and range of her skills. However, similar to an old figure, she’ll be eliminated after just two rounds, so managing your timing is crucial.
Sailor
This common mid-level character doesn’t stand out with exceptional talents or expertise, but excels in longevity, boasting the highest number of turns before being eliminated. Since they often attract attacks, they serve as an effective guard for less experienced allies. Train this type to acquire a variety of skills such as extending turn count, gaining more experience points, reducing SP consumption, and other distinctive abilities. It could be beneficial to develop one for training purposes!
Goat Fighter
A remarkable combatant hailing from the Goat tribe boasts a unique skill: pushing back adversaries. As they advance, their attack strength amplifies, and their other abilities grow stronger with more Goat tribe members on the battlefield, making them effortless to boost. Yet, be mindful as they are exceptionally vulnerable to magic attacks!
Mer Guard
A valiant Warrior from the Mer Tribe, known for robust defenses, effectively safeguards their allied forces. With unique Mer Tribe traits – immunity to harmful status conditions and heightened magical defense – they prove dependable in guarding allies. Their defensive capabilities grow stronger when other Mer Tribe units are present on the battlefield.
Owl Gunner
A clan of Owls, equipped with firearms, boasting exceptional jumping abilities. Their skills grow stronger in the presence of fellow Owl tribe members on the battlefield. They can outmaneuver opponents by shooting from advantageous heights and skillfully dodging incoming attacks.
The game titled “Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero” is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on January 30, 2025, globally. A PC version will be available through Steam in the spring of 2025.
