Phasmophobia Crosses 1 Million Players on Consoles

As a die-hard fan of spine-tingling horror games, I must say that the success story of Phasmophobia is nothing short of extraordinary! Having been a loyal PC gamer for years, I was thrilled when this co-op gem finally made its way onto consoles. The fact that it has managed to attract over 1 million players in just a month since its console launch is simply mind-blowing!

Following several setbacks, Kinetic Games’ highly praised cooperative horror game, “Phasmophobia,” was finally made available on consoles towards the end of October. Since its debut, it has drawn a substantial number of players, according to the developer.

On Twitter, Kinetic Games shared that the number of players for Phasmophobia has exceeded 1 million on PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X/S, ever since it was released on these platforms about a month ago. Previously this year, the developer announced that the game had already sold more than 20 million copies on PC since its early access launch in 2020. Evidently, Phasmophobia’s popularity and success continue to thrive on consoles as well.

In our assessment of the PS5 edition of the game “Phasmophobia,” developed by Kinetic Games, we gave it an 8 out of 10. We found that this game offers a surprisingly terrifying experience whether you play alone or with others, although there are some areas that require further refinement, such as the lobby browser feature. Phasmophobia is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS VR2, and PC. The game’s price on PC also increased to $19.99 earlier this year, having previously been set at $13.99 for several years since its early access launch.

In just one month since launching on PS5, PS VR2 & Xbox Series X/S, we have welcomed 1 MILLION new Ghost Hunters to #Phasmophobia.

Thank you everyone for your support. We can’t wait to continue to share this journey with you all.
