The cooperative horror game “Phasmophobia“, a favorite among gaming enthusiasts who enjoy this genre, continues to be in high demand. Initially launched in Early Access in 2020, the game is still frequently updated with new content as it moves towards its full release. Recently, developer Kinetic Games has given us a sneak peek at the next significant update for “Phasmophobia”. This major expansion, known as the Chronicle update, has been in development since late 2024. We now have more details about what to expect when the next “Phasmophobia” update is scheduled to release on June 24th, 2025.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but appreciate the one-of-a-kind experience that Phasmophobia provides. What sets it apart is its versatility in catering to various gaming preferences, allowing crossplay across different platforms and offering an immersive VR mode or standard gameplay. This means Ghost Hunters can team up with friends spanning multiple platforms and even between VR and standard play, providing a wealth of options for social gaming.
To ensure everyone enjoys the same experience, the Chronicle update for Phasmophobia will roll out simultaneously across all platforms – PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC – on June 24th. This upcoming update promises some of the most significant improvements in this truly expansive patch.
Initially, the Grafton Farmhouse location is set for a significant overhaul to align it with Kinetic’s concept of Phasmophobia. This redesign includes adjusting the layout, introducing distinct themes for various rooms, and even incorporating a chilling new attic. However, this is merely a preview of the numerous features gamers can expect from the Chronicle update.
Phasmophobia Next Update Preview Patch Notes
As a die-hard Phasmophobia gamer, I’m pumped about the upcoming update! It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, and today’s sneak peek only scratches the surface of what lies ahead for us Ghost Hunters. Keep in mind that this early glimpse is still a work in progress, but Kinetic Games wants us to know they appreciate our feedback as they continue to refine things. Trust me, what I’ve seen so far is definitely worth getting excited about!
The upcoming update introduces a Media segment featuring fresh gameplay aspects for players to engage with. To achieve a flawless infestation, you’ll now have to accomplish certain media-related objectives to record them in your journal. This revamp includes 13 slots in the journal for gamers to fill as they delve into their investigations. You’ll be taking EMF readings, interacting with objects, and more to secure these captures.
In the upcoming Chronicle update for our ghost-hunting game, I’m stoked about the arrival of a Sound Recorder! This new gadget will allow us to record audio from the Spirit Box and Ghost Events, among other things. It seems like there could be more equipment on the way, but they’re keeping it under wraps for now. A mysterious picture with the caption “But wait, there’s more?” hints at further surprises, implying we might get even more tools to collect all that media evidence in Phasmophobia.
