As a gamer who has been following wrestling for decades, I must say, it feels like a long-awaited reunion when Adam Copeland, aka Edge, returns to the ring. His comeback is not just another match, but a testament to his resilience and determination that only someone with his extensive experience can showcase.

Edge (Adam Copeland) has temporarily halted his career with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). His break came during AEW Double or Nothing in May when he sustained a foot fracture during his TNT Title defense against Malakai Black. In the final moments of their steel cage match, Edge leaped from the top of the cage and landed improperly, causing the injury. After the pay-per-view, medical confirmation was made, forcing him to relinquish the AEW TNT Championship. Since then, he has been focusing on rest and recovery, with occasional public appearances, while also resuming weight training in his home gym.

The Rated-R Superstar is back in near the squared circle.

On Twitter, professional wrestler Dax Harwood posted a picture featuring him, his tag team partner Cash Wheeler, Darby Allin, Steven Borden, and Adam Copeland dressed for practice, posing together near a wrestling ring.

“Album drops soon,” Harwood captioned the photo.

There’s been a noticeable improvement in Copeland’s recovery since his last public outing. Recently, the ex-WWE Champion attended San Diego Comic-Con towards the end of July, where he appeared alongside his Percy Jackson and the Olympians cast members. In this photograph, you can see that Copeland is now standing independently, without any visible knee brace.

It’s noteworthy that among the group, Copeland stands out as he’s wearing flip-flops, whereas the rest are sporting either sneakers or wrestling boots. This might imply that Copeland has changed from his wrestling shoes, or perhaps he’s merely watching FTR, Allin, and Borden engage in the ring.

In June, Copeland stated that his Achilles tear from a few years back was his toughest rehabilitation and he anticipates more of the same. Being 50, he acknowledges the challenge ahead, but is hopeful because the surgery was successful and his bones are strong. This will be his seventh operation, so he’s familiar with the process. We’ll have to wait and see how well his body responds.

Last month on AEW television, Copeland was involved in a heated rivalry with House of Black over the AEW TNT Championship. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Copeland was compelled to surrender the title, leaving it with Jack Perry, also known as “The Scapegoat.” At this time, it’s unknown what AEW has planned for Copeland upon his return, or when exactly that return might occur.
