Today brings excitement for both Hunters and Palicos, as they eagerly await the arrival of reviews for Capcom’s newest release in the popular monster-hunting series: Monster Hunter Rise (Wilds).
Most reviewers find themselves excited about this game, commending its engaging gameplay elements and overall enjoyment, while a few exceptions express concerns regarding the narrative and tempo of the beginning stages.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to continue Capcom’s hot streak
Indeed, several team members at Windows Central have been dedicated Monster Hunter gamers for quite some time. In our assessment of Monster Hunter Rise, the executive editor Jez Corden notes that hunting monsters in 4-player cooperation continues to be enjoyable. The thrill of discovering new creatures and encountering familiar ones still holds its charm. The enhanced online features are a definite improvement. Furthermore, the artistic direction is simply stunning. Monster Hunter World, complete with all its post-launch content, set a high bar for success, and Monster Hunter Rise certainly follows in its footsteps.
I hadn’t played Monster Hunter until 2018’s Monster Hunter: World, but I found myself deeply engrossed in it, dedicating countless hours not only to the base game but also to its massive Iceborne expansion. I can’t wait to explore Monster Hunter: Rise (Wilds) when I get the chance.
I might even have to track down one of those steelbook editions.
The action-adventure game, Monster Hunter Wilds, will be released for play on February 28, 2025, available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5.
