Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf Launches in 2026

The critically praised side-scrolling cinematic platformer, “Planet of Lana,” is set to receive a sequel in 2026. This upcoming title, titled “Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf,” will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In this continuation, we join Lana and Mui again as they navigate a planet that has been rescued, but harbors hidden dangers beneath the surface. Take a look at the first trailer below for a sneak peek of what’s to come.

In the next installment, the puzzle-solving aspects from the initial game are further developed by introducing new robots that offer additional problem-solving strategies. Stealth remains crucial, as the developers tease “improved” mechanics and “heightened accuracy” with Mui. Action sequences still abound, but Lana has become much more nimble this time around.

Not only does she perform agile maneuvers like wall leaps and ground slides, but her speed has increased noticeably, a skill that will undoubtedly prove useful in the upcoming underwater scenes. To top it off, Takeshi Furukawa, our talented composer, is back to create the soundtrack once more.

The sequel to “Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf” will be available on Game Pass on its release date. Keep an eye out for further updates and gameplay demonstrations in the upcoming months, and don’t forget to read our review of the first installment.
