Player-pacifist finished Kingdom Come 2 as Henry the Merciful. „Becoming medieval Batman was one of my most fun gaming experiences from playing the first KCD”

In the second installation of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you find yourself in 15th-century Bohemia, a region engulfed by civil strife. Consequently, it’s a harsh and violent environment where killings are commonplace. Unlike its predecessor, the Merciful achievement for completing the main storyline without taking any lives is not featured in this sequel.

Nevertheless, some players persisted in their actions. A Reddit user known as hamfity shared that they completed King’s Crown 2 without taking any lives. They opted for a unique approach, engaging in every fight hand-to-hand, earning them the moniker of a medieval equivalent to Batman.

Experiencing the Medieval version of Batman in the first Kingdom Come Deliverance game was one of my most enjoyable gaming moments. I found it really fun… Continuing that adventure in the sequel was just as delightful, although there wasn’t a reward for it.

The player provided some suggestions for those who wish to attempt this challenge as well. Since Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t offer a non-violent route, there are instances where one must engage in combat. Therefore, hamfity had to think creatively to bypass these situations.

In some instances, the game creators seemed to prioritize violent encounters. Therefore, I found it necessary to make slight adjustments to the rules.

A less strict interpretation could mean that the player manipulated situations, for example, causing multiple knocked-out characters to fall, which made it seem like gravity was responsible. Additionally, he intentionally let certain enemies approach Henry’s pet, Mutt, to be attacked.

In the end, the challenge was successfully met, and Hamfity realized to his surprise that it aligned remarkably with the theme of “Henry struggling to maintain goodness amidst circumstances that push him towards wrongdoing”.

Well, it seems my actions have burdened Henry significantly due to the amount I’ve taken. Perhaps, to alleviate this guilt, he might consider making larger charitable contributions to the church.
