As a long-time fan of both Playground Games and the Fable franchise, I’m absolutely thrilled to hear that not only is the Fable series being rebooted, but that it will be developed by two separate studios under the same roof! This level of dedication and resources can only mean great things for the future of this beloved franchise.
The company behind the popular “Forza Horizon” series and the upcoming “Fable” reboot, Playground Games, appears to have started a new studio as a part of their organization.
A user on ResetEra discovered that Playground Games’ LinkedIn account announced the opening of a new office for the company. Similar to their first and second offices, this latest addition to Playground Games’ studios is located in Leamington, United Kingdom.
According to Playground, although their headquarters remains committed to the continued evolution of the Forza Horizon series, the other two studios I’m part of will be dedicating their efforts towards the development of Fable.
Today, Playground boasts three top-tier studios in Leamington Spa. At our original headquarters, we nurture and expand the thriving Horizon community. In our newly established studios across town, we’re thrilled to be working on Fable, a fresh start for the cherished franchise.
The game “Fable” is being created for release on Xbox Series X/S and computers, with an anticipated launch in 2025. No information has been given regarding the arrival of the next installment in the “Forza Horizon” series.
