PlayStation Fans Think Hideo Kojima Just Teased the PS5 Pro

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that this latest development has sent ripples of excitement through the community. The enigmatic Hideo Kojima has always been a master at keeping us on our toes, and his latest social media post is no exception.

Fans of PlayStation believe that renowned game director Hideo Kojima might have hinted at the possibility of the PS5 Pro, although unintentionally. Kojima, unlike many other video game creators, is quite open about his work process on social media, often sharing glimpses of his projects and his talented casts. Recently, in a post showing the development of ‘Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’, some fans think they’ve found a subtly concealed PS5 Pro console.

In a picture shared by Kojima’s assistant Ayako Terashima, fans spotted an unusual event: the PS5 used by Kojima for testing Death Stranding 2 was hidden. Neither Kojima nor Terashima highlighted this concealed PS5 development kit, yet attentive fans couldn’t help but notice the peculiarity. Shortly after the image went public, speculation arose that Kojima might be using the rumored PS5 equipment to develop Death Stranding 2.

From all the information circulating over the past year, it’s highly likely that the PS5 Pro will be launched during this upcoming holiday season. If this is indeed true, then renowned game creators like Kojima and numerous studios worldwide have already had access to development kits for the console. In fact, there have been whispers that the PS5 Pro was an “open secret” at Gamescom 2024, as various developers were overheard discussing the platform and their insights about it.

Currently, there’s uncertainty about when and where Sony might unveil the PS5 Pro. There are rumors that they might host a new PlayStation State of Play sometime in September 2024. If accurate, this event could be the perfect platform for revealing the next-generation PlayStation 5. However, we’ll have to wait and see if events unfold as speculated.

Regarding “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach”, at this point, only its planned release year, which is 2025, has been revealed. Once it becomes available, it will exclusively be playable on PlayStation 5.
