It appears a potential leak related to PlayStation suggests an upcoming game may soon become available on PS Plus. This week saw the release of new titles added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and TopSpin 2K25, to mention a few. These new PS Plus games are accompanied by the free monthly titles for February 2025, which include Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World: Re-Pac. In anticipation of Sony revealing March 2025’s PS Plus games, there is speculation that one game might be added to the service in the near future based on a recent leak.
A new rating for the video game based on Pixar’s movie “Wall-E” has surfaced, according to Gematsu. This rating originates from Taiwan’s games rating board and hints at an upcoming release for both PS5 and PS4 consoles. At present, not many other specifics about “Wall-E” coming to current PlayStation systems have been disclosed, but it’s evident that it’s on its way.
First introduced in 2008, the film “Wall-E” was distributed across multiple gaming platforms. For PlayStation users, options included PS3, PS2, and PSP. Interestingly, PlayStation has a history of re-releasing some older Pixar/Disney games on modern consoles. Most recently, this happened with “Up,” which came out for PS5 and PS4 in late 2023. Upon its release, “Up” became part of the PS Plus Classics collection, accessible to PS Plus Premium subscribers. Given that pattern, it seems likely that “Wall-E” will follow suit.
It appears that Wall-E might be coming to both PS4 and PS5, but there are a couple of important points to consider. Firstly, the fact that Wall-E is currently leaking doesn’t automatically mean it will be included in the PS Plus Classics collection for March. While it’s possible, we won’t know for certain until the lineup is officially announced in a few weeks.
It’s uncertain which variant of “Wall-E” will transition to modern gaming systems, as each edition for PS3, PS2, and PSP varies slightly. The choice Sony makes regarding the specific version moving to PS5/PS4 is significant because it affects which game we’ll eventually see on these platforms. If “Wall-E” follows the same pattern as “Up,” then it could indicate that the PSP version will be the one getting an upgrade.
Independent of the details, what are your feelings about Wall-E possibly becoming available on PS Plus in the near future? And if you’re a PS Plus Premium subscriber, do you plan to give the game a try once it’s accessible? Share your own thoughts with us in the comments below.
