Sony recently unveiled the comprehensive rankings of the most downloaded PS5 titles from the previous year, providing a fascinating glimpse into popular gaming preferences.
Beyond the commonly anticipated titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, FIFA 25, and undeniably Grand Theft Auto 5, games such as Helldivers 2, Black Myth: Wukong, and Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero also garnered significant success.
Or, in a more concise form: Games like Helldivers 2, Black Myth: Wukong, and Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero were among the unexpected hits beyond popular titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, FIFA 25, and Grand Theft Auto 5.
This year’s most favored game, Astro Bot for PlayStation 5, also made its presence known, even though it fell short of entering the top 10 charts in the United States and Europe.
As a gaming enthusiast, it’s important to highlight that the lists I’m referring to don’t include free-to-play titles like Fortnite and Marvel Rivals. Given their massive popularity, these omissions significantly alter the rankings. If free games were factored in, I strongly believe the list would have a very different look.
