Recently, trustworthy leaks suggest that Sony plans to unveil the PlayStation 5 Pro and host a new State of Play event in September. Following the recent reveal of the PS5 Pro, fans are eagerly waiting to learn when this rumored event will occur. Although Sony has remained silent on the matter so far, we now have a possible date to mark on our calendars.
Today, during Game Mess Mornings, reporter Jeff Grubb hinted that the eagerly awaited State of Play for September is approximately 12 days away. Grubb didn’t specify a particular date for the event, suggesting that Sony’s plans might adjust before then. If it does indeed happen in exactly 12 days, this would position the broadcast on Tuesday, September 24th, which coincidentally falls two weeks after their PS5 Pro presentation. Moreover, this timeline precedes Tokyo Game Show 2024 where PlayStation will also participate as an attendee.
According to Grubb, he previously mentioned that the State of Play will be held later this month. More specifically, it might arrive in approximately two weeks from now. To clarify, there won’t be a PlayStation Showcase; instead, we’ll have a State of Play event.
