Additionally, October’s free PlayStation Plus games were unveiled. Amidst all this excitement, PlayStation 5 users received an unexpected treat: three free downloads!
This week, on top of everything else, The Last of Us Part 1 became available for free through PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. To make it even more exciting for fans of The Last of Us, PlayStation also introduced three new PSN avatars at no cost, which feature Ellie, Joel, and a Clicker character.
To clarify, as part of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebration, three custom PSN avatars were distributed. Additionally, the remastered version of the original Last of Us game was made available for free on PS Plus Extra and Premium. The validity period for these Last of Us Part 1 PSN avatars is not specified by PlayStation, but it’s likely that they will be available as long as the 30-year anniversary festivities continue.
Instead of choosing to replicate the game’s characters and monsters exactly, the artist designing the avatars opted for a more distinctive, stylized appearance. However, this new design has not been well-received by many PlayStation gamers.
