The relatively new game development studio by Sony, named Dark Outlaw Games, has been formally acknowledged on the PlayStation site without any official announcement. Since there’s no news yet, it might be why finding the dedicated webpage requires some digging.
On the PlayStation Studios website, a page featuring the Dark Outlaw Games emblem spins out unexpectedly, while other developers’ listings are typically displayed there. However, when checking the public page where the link should originate, Dark Outlaw Games is nowhere to be found. It appears that some online detectives have prematurely stumbled upon this page. To clarify, the only element on this page is the logo.
Last week, it was officially announced that Dark Outlaw Games is a first-party developer for PlayStation. This revelation came during a podcast conversation between Jason Blundell, formerly of Call of Duty, and Jeff Gerstmann. Blundell shared the news, mentioning that the new team has been secretly working on projects for some time now, but they haven’t disclosed any details to the public as of yet.
In simpler terms, the studio’s emblem features an outline of a person dressed in a trench coat and a hat against a muted orange backdrop. This image suggests that the studio might be developing a game with a detective or noir theme.
