As a seasoned fan of both Pokemon and Palworld, I eagerly anticipate the release of Miraibo Go on October 10th. Having spent countless hours catching ’em all and taming Pals, I’m excited to see a newcomer that seems to have taken inspiration from these beloved franchises.
Games featuring monster training aren’t scarce, with Pokemon leading the pack in this genre. However, this year, Palworld presented a challenge to Nintendo’s long-standing franchise when it launched on PC, Xbox, and most recently, PS5. It’s no wonder that other upcoming games are now taking inspiration from Palworld rather than Pokemon, particularly in terms of style and features found in similar titles. One such game is Miraibo Go, and for players of both Pokemon and Palworld who are looking to explore another competitor, the developer Dreamcube has announced that Miraibo Go will be released on October 10th.
The game is being referred to as having a “Pokémon-like” quality, which could be a novel way to describe it given the acclaim that Palworld has received. Just as enthusiasts of Pokémon quickly noticed similarities between Nintendo’s franchise and Palworld, especially in terms of Pokémon versus Pal comparisons, it’s easy to understand how Miraibo Go is trying to appeal to fans of Palworld more than those who are into Pokémon.
In the video displayed, the game Miraibo Go presents creatures known as “Miras” which players can capture and employ for either combat or base building purposes. The exploration takes place within a more expansive, open-world setting, where these creatures can be tamed by hurling a capturing device towards them. Although there are limited designs for Miras considering the existing Pokemon and the new Pals, they share some resemblance to both in terms of appearance. Furthermore, weapons play a role in this game, as evidenced by a bow being used in the gameplay trailer, but it’s also evident that guns are available within Miraibo Go as well.
Unlike Palworld, Miraibo Go is planned to release on both mobile devices and PC. If its features and Miras prove to be compelling, it could potentially attract a wider audience, especially among mobile gamers. Similar to many other mobile games, Miraibo Go is currently offering pre-registration and referral rewards as an incentive for early sign-ups. You can register for the game on the official Miraibo Go website, which shares some similarities with Palworld in terms of its design.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have recently filed a lawsuit against Palworld and Pocketpair, making the gaming industry quite intriguing as games such as Miraibo Go are about to launch. It seems some of their patents are causing concern over similarities in capture devices used to tame monsters and other features. Despite the ongoing legal issues, Miraibo Go is still scheduled for release on October 10th, adding another game to an already bustling month.
