Pokemon Go Adventure Week Event Will Increase Shiny Rates for Multiple Pokemon

As a dedicated gamer and long-time player of Pokemon Go, I’m always on the lookout for exciting events that keep me engaged with the game. And let me tell you, the upcoming Adventure Week event has definitely piqued my interest! Starting from August 2nd at 10 a.m., this event is all about hatching Pokemon from Eggs and increasing our chances of getting Shiny versions of some fossil Pokemon.

Starting August 2nd at 10 a.m., there’s an exciting new development in the world of Pokemon Go. This week, we’ll be experiencing Adventure Week, with a major emphasis on hatching Pokemon from Eggs. The event commences on August 2nd at 10 a.m., and continues until August 12th at 11:59 p.m., in local time. During this period, players can look forward to enhanced Shiny odds for several Pokemon that will be emerging from 7 km Eggs. If you’ve been holding off using your Incubators, now could be the ideal moment to put them to use! The following Pokemon have heightened chances of appearing as Shinies:

  • Amaura
  • Archen
  • Cranidos
  • Shieldon
  • Tirtouga
  • Tyrunt

Regrettably, you won’t come across any of these specific Pokemon in the wild during the event. But don’t worry, you can discover all six of them through Field Research tasks and Egg hatches instead. These Pokemon are known to originate from fossils in the main games. The Adventure Week is heavily centered around fossil Pokemon, so keep an eye out for common ones like Omanyte and Kabuto in the wild. Moreover, completing certain Field Research tasks will grant you Mega Energy for Aerodactyl, which is beneficial for those yet to Mega Evolve one.

For those looking to acquire more Incubators for the ongoing event, consider attempting some paid Timed Research. priced at just $2.00, this option grants players with two standard Incubators, one Super Incubator, and interactions with event-specific Pokemon as rewards. However, it’s presently undecided whether these encounters will feature any of the Pokemon boasting heightened Shiny chances during Adventure Week.

In the past two years, Niantic has been working hard to motivate Pokemon Go players to go outside and play the game. A significant part of this initiative has involved Egg hatching. During Adventure Week, this trend continues without any new Pokemon being introduced through Eggs. Instead, players are given higher chances of encountering Shiny Pokemon, making playing outside a more appealing choice than relying on Egg hatches to find certain species.
