How to catch a Ditto in Pokémon Go

In order to find a Ditto in Pokemon GO, you should first capture a Pokemon from the ever-changing list of Pokemons that may be disguising as Ditto.

Check out the section above to see what Pokémon are currently able to be a Ditto in disguise.

Fundamentally, when you’ve got a hold of the Ditto’s disguise roster, it would be wise to attempt capturing as many Pokémon from that catalog as you can.

Keep doing it, and at some point, one of them will likely revert to its original Ditto shape.

As a die-hard Pokémon fan, I always keep in mind this trivia: If any of the creatures on my list happens to be a Shiny one, it can’t possibly be a Ditto. Still, I’d never pass up the chance to add a Shiny to my collection; after all, who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to catch ’em all, especially when they sparkle?

Similar to other Pokémon, a Ditto has a rare possibility of being Shiny. If you encounter a blue one, it’s Shiny. Currently, it seems there’s no known method to boost the odds of discovering a Shiny Ditto (or a normal Ditto, for that matter).

For the past two consecutive years, Niantic has increased the availability of Ditto during special events such as the April Fools’ event in 2022 and the Let’s Go event in 2023.

Fingers crossed more of these events take place soon.
