As a seasoned Pokémon Go trainer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the Max Out Finale event has me absolutely buzzing! The debut of the Galarian Corsola and its Shiny form is just the icing on the cake for this long-awaited event. I’ve always been a sucker for Ghost-type Pokémon, and their dark backstory only adds to their allure.
As a dedicated Pokémon Go gamer, I’m super excited because the current season is about to wrap up! Just two weeks from now, Niantic has hinted at some awesome stuff for the Max Out Finale, which kicks off on my calendar on Wednesday, November 27th, 10 a.m., and runs all the way through Sunday, December 1st, 8 p.m., in your local time zone. The pièce de résistance of this event is the grand entrance of two fresh Pokémon straight from Pokémon Sword and Shield – the Galarian form of Corsola will make its game debut! And get this, I can evolve it into Cursola using 50 Candies. Can’t wait to catch ’em all!
In the traditional form, Corsola is a Water/Rock type Pokemon, but the Galarian variant is purely Ghost-type. This change in type is due to the species of Corsola dwindling because of climate change, which gives it a rather melancholic Pokedex entry. As is common with Ghost-type Pokemon, it has a somber backstory. Sadly, finding Galarian Corsola in Pokemon Go will be challenging as they’ll only appear in 7 km Eggs. However, their debut is accompanied by the appearance of its Shiny form, which is a positive aspect.
In essence, the Shiny form of Galarian Corsola doesn’t vary greatly from its regular counterpart, but it has a slightly shadowed face compared to the usual white body. However, the changes in Shiny Cursola are more noticeable, with a predominant black coloration across its body and purple eyes instead of the standard pink. This is a Shiny Pokemon that many players might consider evolving if they manage to find one.
During this exciting event, I’ll be getting a bit of assistance in my hunt for the elusive Galarian Corsola! The distance needed to hatch Eggs placed in Incubators will be half the usual requirement. Plus, there are additional perks like earning 5,000 extra XP upon successfully completing Raids, and the ability to attempt up to 10 Remote Raids daily. To wrap up this fantastic Galar-themed season, all Raid battles will feature Pokémon that made their debut in Sword and Shield. You’ll encounter Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble in One-Star Raids, while Galarian Weezing and Falinks can be found in Three-Star Raids. Five-Star Raids offer the chance to catch Zacian, Zamazenta, Regieleki, and Regidrago. And let’s not forget that the wild areas will be teeming with the Galarian starters, as well as Wooloo, Falinks, Skwovet, and Hatenna!
