As a dedicated Pokemon Go enthusiast with countless hours invested in this digital world, I must say that the recent turn of events has left me both disheartened and bewildered. The Gigantamax weekend, which was eagerly anticipated by millions of players worldwide, turned into a nightmare for many due to unjustified warnings and bans on Saturday.

Instead of a thrilling Gigantamax weekend for Pokémon Go players, some found themselves in an unfortunate predicament on Saturday when they received warnings and bans. Prior to the start of the Gigantamax events, many Pokémon Go users were notified that they had used unauthorized third-party software or breached the game’s rules in other ways. While some players were given a mere warning, even if they claimed it was an error, others faced complete bans, thus missing out on the Gigantamax weekend entirely.

On Saturday, warnings concerning supposed unauthorized activity in the game Pokemon Go began appearing for players as they were preparing Gigantamax features. One player shared a screenshot of their warning on Reddit, stating that they had received a seven-day warning and their account would be under observation during this time. If they made any further mistakes, there was a risk of receiving a ban.

Your actions suggest you’re using unapproved software on your account, which goes against our Service Terms. This is a warning, lasting around 7 days. Please discontinue this behavior to avoid account suspension for future violations.

The player asserted that there was no action on their part that deserved the imposed ban in Pokemon Go, a claim often made when players face potential account suspension. However, it seems that in this instance (and frequently today), these warnings may be unfounded or misleading. Numerous players within the Pokemon Go subreddit have substantiated similar reports, stating they too received such warnings and, in certain situations, were outright banned.

As a devoted Pokémon Go player from the very beginning, I found myself immersed in an exciting raid just a few hours ago when suddenly, out of the blue, my account was suspended. I’ve always been honest and upfront about my playstyle, and I can’t even fathom how one could cheat at this game. I’ve submitted an appeal, but I’m still waiting for a response. It seems unjust that I should be punished for 30 days without any explanation whatsoever.

Pokemon Go Players Shocked by Surprise Bans: “This Is So Unfair”

Contrary to what one might assume, the most popular post in the Pokémon Go subreddit today is not about the highly anticipated Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, but rather a dispute over false bans. The general consensus among users is that they haven’t violated any rules, yet Niantic isn’t offering much assistance beyond automated messages advising players to adhere to the rules. There’s uncertainty as to why the bans are being issued or if they will persist, but a significant number of players are receiving 30-day bans. If these bans aren’t overturned, it means that the affected Pokémon Go players will miss out not only on the Gigantamax events but also on the Halloween celebrations that are now starting.

Previous Pokemon Go events have often encountered problems, and when things go badly wrong, events can usually be rescheduled or players given some type of reimbursement for the lost time. Following the Gigantamax weekend, it’s likely that a similar situation may arise regarding these bans.
