Pokemon Go Psychic Spectacular Event Adding New Pokemon and Dynamax Options

As a seasoned Pokémon Go gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Psychic Spectacular event is shaping up to be an absolute blast! The addition of the Hattena evolution line and the debut of Beldum’s Dynamax version have me more than excited.

There’s exciting news for Pokémon Go fans! A new event called “Psychic Spectacular” has been announced and it starts on Wednesday, September 18th at 10 a.m., lasting until September 22nd at 8 p.m. local time. This season’s Galar theme continues during this event, and for the first time, we’ll see the introduction of the Hattena evolution line in the game. To evolve Hattena into Hattrem, you’ll need 25 Candies, and then another 100 Candies to transform it into its final form, Hatterene. Keep an eye out for Hattena through Field Research, 7 km Egg Hatches, or in the wild. Additionally, various Pokémon will be appearing in the wild during this event.

  • Elgyem
  • Gothita
  • Inkay
  • Morelull
  • Ralts
  • Solosis
  • Spoink
  • Spritzee
  • Swirlix

This season, Max Raid battles are garnering much interest and that trend is set to persist with the Psychic Spectacular event. The upcoming Pokemon to receive a Dynamax form is Beldum, and it will be encountered in three-star Max Raids during the event. Once captured, Beldum, along with its evolutions Metang and Metagross, can be Dynamaxed in Max Raids. It’s worth noting that Metagross is widely beloved among Pokemon Go players, so anticipation for its Dynamax debut is high. However, players who already own a Beldum, Metang, or Metagross will not be able to have them Dynamax. In essence, if you possess a Shiny Metagross from the recent Beldum Community Day Classic, you’ll need to catch a new Beldum in order to participate in Max Battles with it.

At the Psychic Spectacular event, players can anticipate several perks within the game. Firstly, all participants will earn twice as much Stardust for each catch they make. Additionally, performing Nice, Great, or Excellent Throws will reward extra Candy, and players above level 31 may have a higher chance of receiving XL Candy. Furthermore, the event includes PokeStop Showcases, Collection Challenges, and Paid Timed Research. The latter costs $2.00, but those who buy it will receive bonuses like Incubators, experience points (XP), and more Hattena encounters.
