Pokemon Go Reveals Beldum Community Day Classic Details

As a seasoned Pokémon Go player with over a decade of experience catching ’em all, I can confidently say that this August’s Community Day Classic is a dream come true! The Shiny Beldum has always been my elusive grail, and now, finally, it’s within reach.

The special Pokemon Go Community Day event featuring Popplio will occur on August 31st. However, players can enjoy an early celebration with a Community Day Classic happening on Sunday, August 18th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., local time. This is excellent news for those who missed the initial event in 2018, as it provides another chance to find the Shiny version of Beldum. Many Pokemon enthusiasts favor the Shiny Metagross, so this upcoming event is particularly exciting!

What Does Shiny Beldum Look Like?

Unlike regular Beldum which sports a metallic blue hue, Shiny Beldum stands out with a predominantly light gray body. The claws at its base are typically light gray but turn gold. This color pattern persists as it evolves into Metang and Metagross, giving Shiny Metagross an elegant silver and gold look. Even in its Mega Evolution, this striking appearance remains consistent. Shiny Metagross is renowned for being one of the most admired Shiny forms in the series, making it a sought-after catch during this event!

Beldum Community Day Classic Bonuses

Alongside an increase in encountering Beldum in the wild, Pokemon Go enthusiasts can anticipate various in-game perks throughout the day. This includes themed PokeStops and Field Research, along with eggs hatched from incubators having a quarter of their usual distance to travel during the event. To add to this, lure modules and incense activated during the event will last for an extended period of up to three hours. As per the norm, special research can be obtained by purchasing it from the game’s shop for $1.00.

During the event or within two hours after, if players develop a Metang, they’ll be rewarded with a Metagross that knows the Special Attack Meteor Mash. Some special moves are more effective than others, but this is certainly one you should consider teaching your Metagross. Meteor Mash is a Steel-type charged attack, and its power remains at 100 whether it’s used in battles against trainers, gyms, or raids.
