As a dedicated gamer, I’m super hyped for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on the next-gen Nintendo Switch! The original release in 2022 was impressive, but let’s face it, it wasn’t exactly leading the pack in terms of technical prowess compared to other games out there. But hey, Game Freak has never been known for their tech magic, and the Nintendo Switch hasn’t always been the smoothest ride either – we were stuck with a 30 FPS gameplay that often dropped far below that mark. However, it seems like the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will be changing all that! I can’t wait to catch ’em all in crisp, smooth frames per second on this powerful new platform!
It seems that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for the Nintendo Switch 2 will run at a frame rate of 60 frames per second. While it’s uncertain how consistently this high frame rate will be maintained, it should ideally never fall below 30 FPS. However, due to improvements in the Switch 2’s performance rather than extensive optimization within the game itself, there may still be occasional dips in frame rate. Keep in mind that the Nintendo Switch 2 does not possess the same level of power as the PS5 or Xbox Series X, but it is significantly more powerful compared to the current model.
You might be aware that certain Nintendo Switch games are receiving enhanced versions on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is one of those games. Essentially, if you own Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you won’t have to pay for the improved performance.
