As per previous leaks, a new collection of booster packs was expected to be unveiled for the mobile trading card game, and that’s exactly what happened!
Apart from revealing that the upcoming booster packs will be named Triumphant Light, the Pokemon Presents live stream additionally set a release date of February 28th. The new packs prominently showcase Arceus EX as their main attraction, with an image of the Legendary Pokemon gracing the front cover. Moreover, the announcement video offers a sneak peek at several other cards destined for the game, such as Raichu, Garchomp EX, and both Leafeon and Glaceon EX. This is particularly thrilling for Eeveelution enthusiasts, since it marks their first appearance in the game.
The trailer didn’t specify exactly how many cards will be part of the Triumphant Light set, but it seems to follow a pattern similar to Mythical Island, as only one pack art has been revealed. This aligns with early leaks suggesting that the Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Triumphant Light set may consist of just one new booster pack.
On February 28th, players can anticipate unboxing the newly arrived set together with their earlier packs dating back to Genetic Apex. No indications have been made yet about discontinuing previous booster packs in TCG Pocket. Since there are no ongoing events in Pokemon TCG Pocket at present, it’s reasonable to expect fresh events will be introduced alongside the release of the new booster pack.
