As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for the Pokémon franchise and a knack for keeping my collection ever-expanding, I must say that these events in Pokemon TCG Pocket are like manna from heaven during the holidays! The thought of getting free hourglasses and card packs just by logging in each day is simply too good to pass up.
The Pokemon TCG Pocket game has rolled out a new event for players to enjoy over the holidays, offering daily freebies instead of emblems for PvP matches. This time around, players can grab hourglasses and card packs every day for an entire week without any additional effort! All you need to do is log in each day to ensure you’ve claimed your rewards.
The upcoming login event in Pokemon TCG Pocket has been uncovered, just as we’ve seen with previous events. This means dedicated players were already anticipating it, but its arrival is still exciting news. The event kicked off on December 24th at 10 p.m. PST and will conclude on December 31st around the same hour, giving you plenty of time until then to collect your rewards.
These rewards alternate depending on the day, but they amount to 36 hourglasses and four packs of Pokemon cards in total for you to acquire over the next week. The Pokemon card packs all come from the new Mythical Island set, so if you’re still trying to complete your collection of cards acquired from those packs, you’ll have some help this week.
Since the launch of the Pokemon TCG Pocket events, they’ve been happening regularly. So it’s no wonder that we’re currently in one and there’s another one on the horizon, likely as a New Year celebration. Based on data mining efforts, it appears that this upcoming event will be quite similar to the current one, but with some additional goodies. Expect more hourglasses, packs, and a special Pikachu promo card to be distributed. Keep an eye out for an announcement about this new event within the next week.
Additional happenings are planned for January, leading up to an expansive release of new cards in the Mythical Island set for Pokemon TCG Pocket. While this initial set is labeled as a “mini” version, the upcoming January launch is expected to be much larger. If you aim to maximize your experience, it might be wise to begin accumulating those hourglasses from various events in preparation.
Between these major decreases, we’ll insert additional promotional cards at various points, much like the recent introduction of Venusaur, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Blastoise promos. However, Venusaur and Bulbasaur received their own promos recently, so they were excluded this time around. The placement of the emblem on these recent promo cards has been slightly problematic, but hopefully, improvements will be made in the future to address this issue before more promotional cards are distributed, if the feedback from Pokemon TCG Pocket players is taken into account.
