On various social media platforms, it’s frequently suggested that there are secret methods to influence the outcome of the seemingly random Wonder Pick mechanism, allowing you to choose the card of your preference.

To clarify for those who may not be aware, Wonder Pick allows you to choose from a group of five cards that are randomly selected from different players worldwide. You’ll see the available cards displayed, they will then be mixed up, and your task is to select one.
It’s a one-in-five chance of picking the card you want each time. That is, it’s meant to be.

What is the Pokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Pick exploit?
Online, there are two methods being discussed about exploiting the Pokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Pick:
As a movie buff, I’d put it this way: Bypassing the shuffle animation is like the deck of cards magically returning to their original positions, as if the game of chance never touched them.
In essence, employing this trick allows you to pick any card during a round of Wonder Pick simply by tapping the button that skips the animation sequence.
Another supposed trick is recording the shuffle animation of Wonder Pick on screen, then replaying it slowly to determine where each card falls.
As a movie buff, I’ve often pondered that if you slow down the shuffling animation in a game, it might be possible to discern where each card is being placed. If this strategy holds true, then I could meticulously watch the animation, return to the game, and carefully select the card of my choice every time.

Does the Pokémon TCG Pocket Wonder Pick exploit really work?
Unfortunately, the alleged Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket Wonder Pick exploit doesn’t function as claimed. We have tested both rumored methods and found that they are ineffective. The truth is, Wonder Pick will always provide a random one-in-five chance of selecting the card you desire.
We’ve tried using the Wonder Pick exploit, which skips the shuffling animation, numerous times, but it doesn’t seem to be effective. Occasionally, the card you’re hoping for might still be in its original spot after being shuffled, but this is purely by chance.
On more occasions than I can count, I’ve bypassed that shuffling animation, only to find the cards arranged differently from their initial position after a supposed shuffle. The myth about this being random? Busted!
We’ve additionally attempted to record the shuffling animation on screen and then played it back slowly to determine where each card settles after being shuffled, but unfortunately, this method didn’t yield any useful results.
Every time you draw a card from the shuffled deck, the placement is entirely unpredictable. With each selection known as ‘Wonder Pick’, there’s a 20% probability that you’ll pick the specific card you desire.
The developer wants you to spend money on items to speed up the wait between Wonder Picks, why would they leave exploits in the game?
In much the same way that a misconception about stacking powerful cards has been proven false, so too has the strategy of the Wonder Pick been disproved in the collectible card game known as TCG Pocket.
