Confirmed! The first Booster Pack expansion, introducing fresh cards into the world of Pokémon TCG Pocket, is now known as the Mythical Island expansion. Clear the path, trainers!
In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the Pocket Mythical Island expansion promises to introduce over 80 fresh cards and more, potentially disrupting the current game dynamics while offering an abundance of gleaming new cards for admiration.
These updates introduce five additional EX cards such as Mew EX, Celebi EX, and Aerodactyl EX. Make sure you stock up on Hourglasses to aid in their full acquisition.
If you haven’t gathered all the Genetic Apex items yet, there’s no need to fret! You can still open those Booster Packs after the launch date of Mythical Island.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Mythical Island expansion release date
On Tuesday, the 17th of December, 2024, we can expect the launch of the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mythical Island expansion, as announced by The Pokémon Company.

With the upcoming expansion, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket promises an enchanting journey filled with surprise and delight as you’ll receive a fresh batch of cards!
Legendary Pokemon Mew and Celebi, renowned for their mythical strength, are waiting to bring an enchanting touch to your hoard.
As a die-hard Pokémon fan, I can’t help but get excited about the latest expansion, “The Mythical Island.” This expansion packs a punch with more than 80 fresh cards! Among them are five sensational new Pokémon EX cards, five enticing Trainer cards, and some breathtakingly immersive cards that will transport you straight into the magical realm of Pokémon. Let the adventure begin!
Pokémon TCG Pocket Mythical Island expansion – confirmed cards
You won’t be able to see the complete set of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Mythical Island cards until their release on 17th December.
We do know a good number of them already, however, thanks to what has been shown in its trailer.
According to the trailer, the following Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) cards have been confirmed for the Pocket Mythical Island expansion:

The following Pokémon can be seen in the trailer, but we don’t see them as cards:

In the Genetic Apex Boosters, some Pokémon cards are revamped versions of previously seen ones like Pikachu, Tauros, and Magmar. Keep in mind that these updated cards will perform distinctly compared to the ones you currently possess.
