Heart Machine is persistently enhancing their early access game, Hyper Light Breaker. Additionally, they’ve introduced a fresh 2D side-scrolling action title this year, called Possessor(s), exclusively for PC gaming. Notably, Devolver Digital announced that Possessor(s) will also be available on PlayStation 5, as detailed in the PlayStation Blog post.
In the future-set city of Sanzu, once a bustling metropolis but now left in ruins following a demonic outbreak linked to megacorp Agradyne, resides our protagonist Luca – a transformed former high school student, now inhabited by the demon Rhem. Luca yearns to return home.
While delving into Sanzu and uncovering Agradyne’s overindulgences, Luca will employ a range of close-combat tools, such as knives, hockey sticks, a guitar, and even a mouse from a PC (each button serving as a distinct weapon). Repeatedly assaulting foes will cause them to stumble, but you can also toss them around and use Rhem’s whip to grab them. The whip is particularly useful during platforming sections too.
In Sanzu, a vast, interconnected realm, you’ll encounter numerous districts where demons have taken control, using a variety of items as their weapons. As you advance, you’ll gain extra skills and modifications for your weapons.
Possessor(s) doesn’t have a release date yet. Check out some new brief new gameplay below.
Excited to announce that Possessor(s) from @HeartMachineHQ is coming to @PlayStation 5 later this year!
