Despite keeping most of his family matters private, such as the identities of his fiancée and their 2-year-old daughter, the musician known as “Rockstar” (real name Austin Post) has shed light on his experience of fatherhood.
In an Aug. 11 episode of CBS Sunday Morning, she expressed her delight by saying, “It brings about the most wonderful transformation in your life,” and added, “What’s even more touching is, she has a lovely mother.”
In a straightforward manner, the 29-year-old shared that his partner and daughter significantly improved his life, as they helped him overcome feelings of solitude.
Four years back, he shared, he was treading a difficult journey. His day-to-day life consisted of tears and alcohol consumption. “It was awful,” he emphasized. “But thankfully, I no longer feel that way, and it’s an incredible feeling.”
Speaking fondly of his family, Post—whose forehead sports the initials “DDP” in tribute to his daughter—also shared the reason behind his decision to compose a song about her future wedding day on his upcoming album titled “F-1 Trillion“, which is set for release on Aug. 16.
Admittedly, I often ponder over the subject, and I’ve penned numerous tunes expressing my feelings for my dear daughter.
For the past two weeks, people have been enthusiastically discussing his recent remarks. However, it’s worth noting that Post has elaborated on how his family has motivated him to prioritize a healthier and more joyful lifestyle.
In a 2023 Apple Music interview, he shared how having a baby made him see things differently and caused him to scale back on his social life. He admitted, “I’ve been out less and a bit more subdued.” Previously, he felt he never had the opportunity or energy to truly savor experiences. Now, it seems, he’s trying to make up for lost time by immersing himself more fully in life.
As for what Post is focusing on most? Quality time with his baby and her mother.
