The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind was a fun beat-’em-up when it initially came out in December. However, the developers at Digital Eclipse have recently introduced an update that significantly alters the gameplay experience.
Immediately accessible at no cost is an upgrade for the game, which brings numerous fresh elements to enhance your gaming adventure.
Initially, during regular gameplay, you now have the option to bestow lasting stat enhancements on your chosen ranger. Once a level is completed, the points earned contribute to a progress bar. Each time this bar is filled, you’ll receive a skill point. These points can be allocated towards Strength, Defense, or Speed.
This implies that as rangers progressively grow stronger, it encourages players to aim for high scores on each level, instead of carelessly rushing through them.
As a gamer, let me tell you about these cool options called Morphers that pop up when starting a new game. These bad boys can totally transform the challenge level or add some exciting twists; for example, you can set enemies to be defeated with just one hit, experience moon gravity, have unlimited lives, and even turn off the upgradeable stats we talked about earlier.
Thirdly, I’ve got a fresh trick up my sleeve – Power Blast! With this, I can shove back any foes closing in on me, but it takes a bit of my health. It’s a lifesaver when the enemy hordes get overwhelming, let me tell you!
Ultimately, a quick-recovery mechanism enables an immediate stand-up when knocked down – provided you perform a dodge at the exact moment of landing.
That’s all been added via the latest update, but it’s not the only one planned for Rita’s Rewind.
In Spring 2025, Digital Eclipse’s multiplayer mode will receive an upgrade, enabling up to six players to enjoy cooperative gameplay simultaneously. Currently, the game supports three teams of two, with each team playing on separate consoles. The update will facilitate a peer-to-peer connection, allowing all players to participate individually on their own devices.
The good news is that the beat-’em-up has improved significantly; if you enjoyed it previously, you’ll love it even more now due to these exciting gameplay upgrades.
