Pragmata Challenges You to Simultaneously Hack and Destroy Enemies

After much anticipation, Capcom unveiled a fresh trailer for the upcoming game titled Pragmata. The title is slated to launch in 2026 across platforms like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While the initial glimpse offered showed some shooting elements, recent hands-on experiences have provided a deeper understanding of its complexities, revealing that it’s not as straightforward as gunplay alone.

In the game VGC mentions, players guide both characters Hugh and his android, Diana, at once. A test run takes them through a space station filled with aggressive bots. While Hugh uses firearms, it’s essential to hack robots as Diana at the same time in order to lower their defenses, making it possible for shots to inflict damage.

In this hacking mini-game, you connect points on a grid from one location (A) to another (B) using the controller’s face buttons. Simultaneously, players control aim, evasion, and firing using triggers (and possibly bumpers). If ammo allows, Hugh can slow down enemies, providing extra time for successful hacks. Certain power-ups boost the damage inflicted on opponents as you pass through points in the mini-game.

A new factor is that the weapons only have a certain number of shots before they become unusable, and it’s yet to be determined how players can acquire additional firearms. However, they might be found scattered throughout the environment. Among the adversaries players will encounter are massive mechs and drones, each necessitating a unique hacking mini-game for defeat.

The item known as Pragmata doesn’t have its launch date set just yet, but the demonstration version has been well-refined. Keep an eye out for future announcements until then.
