As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing that Predator: Hunting Grounds is making a triumphant return to current-gen consoles. I remember the thrill of the original release, the tense moments of stalking and being stalked in this asymmetrical multiplayer masterpiece.
Earlier this year, Illfonic revealed that their 2020 four versus one asymmetrical multiplayer shooter, Predator: Hunting Grounds, would be returning on modern gaming systems. Previously, it was a PlayStation console exclusive published by Sony. Now, Illfonic has unveiled the precise release date for the game’s current-gen edition.
The action-packed game titled “Predator: Hunting Grounds” is set to debut on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 1, just one week from now. There will be three different versions of the game up for grabs: a standard edition, an enhanced Jungle Edition boasting four additional Predators each with unique gear, and a top-tier Yautja Edition that comes bundled with all DLC content for the game.
The classic version of this game is coming out for PlayStation 5 on November 12, and pre-orders begin tomorrow, September 24. Unfortunately, it appears that Xbox users won’t have the chance to buy a physical copy of the game.
