On July 19th, the couple posted an Instagram video featuring their three-year-old daughter Sterling Skye and nineteen-month-old son Patrick “Bronze,” playing a large Tic Tac Toe game at a gender reveal party. A banner above the game read: “Is it a little sister or a little brother? Find out by flipping this over.”
With every unveiled square by their children, it became clear that pink, representing a new baby sister, emerged as the final victor.
It’s no surprise that Patrick and Brittany’s loved ones were elated. Jackson Mahomes, the NFL player’s brother, expressed his excitement in the comments with a simple “So cool!” or “This is fantastic news!” would also work.
A week after revealing their happy news of being pregnant, Brittany and her high school sweetheart husband, who married in 2022, announced the baby’s upcoming arrival.
In their shared Instagram post on July 12, they playfully commented, “It’s round three!” accompanied by a heart emoji, meaning “We’re back at it again!”
At the Chiefs press conference on July 16, Patrick declared with emphasis, “I’ve finished. I’ve said it three times now, and that’s all.”

Back in 2012, when they were both studying at Whitehouse High School in Texas, Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes‘ romantic journey started. Fast forward to September 2020, after an impressive eight-year long courtship, Patrick, the star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, took the next step by proposing to Brittany inside Arrowhead Stadium – a truly fitting location.
In February 2021, the couple became parents for the first time, welcoming a baby girl named Sterling Skye Mahomes into the world. Exactly one year later, during their wedding in Hawaii, Sterling attended as her parents exchanged vows. By May 2022, they shared the news that they were expecting another child together.

Approximately a month prior, on November 28th, Brittany welcomed the birth of her son, whom they named Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
Sterling and Brittany cheered on Patrick as the Chiefs won the 2023 Super Bowl.

I, being a proud co-owner of the women’s soccer team in Kansas City, took the opportunity to celebrate Mother’s Day 2023 by joyfully watching my team play live on the field.
At the ESPY Awards in 2023, Patrick received honors for both Best NFL Player and Best Male Athlete in the sports category. The Kansas City Chiefs were named Best Team during the same ceremony.
