As a dedicated follower of Brittany Mahomes‘ social media, I can truly relate to her recent struggle with getting her toddler, Bronze, to eat properly without the distraction of television. I have experienced similar situations with my own little one, and I know how frustrating and exhausting it can be to deal with a tantrumming toddler who refuses to eat.
Brittany Mahomes is enlisting some advice from her followers.
Not long after announcing that they are having their third child, Patrick Mahomes’ wife shared an experience she had with their toddler. Already parents to a 5-year-old named Sterling and a 19-month-old named Bronze, the Sports Illustrated model described a recent challenge she faced with her young son.
“Hey moms and experts,” Brittany playfully initiated her July 28 Instagram Story. “During our vacation, Bronze picked up a new habit: watching TV while eating. We did this to keep him calm and prevent tantrums in public places, as he’s not the most enthusiastic eater and will strongly resist and even throw massive fits when we try to make him finish his meals. So, we didn’t want that to happen in restaurants during our trips.”
I’ve observed that allowing him to watch TV would result in an astonishing quietness from him, and he would devour anything we offered without complaint.
1. (In a passionate tone) I’ve been absolutely captivated, and here’s why: The 28-year-old’s situation, though completely understandable, has taken an unexpected turn since we got back home. Now, guess who my idol, Patrick, is teaming up with at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp? None other than Travis Kelce! Can you believe it? I can hardly contain my excitement!
She admitted, “Since we’ve returned home, we’ve been struggling to make him eat. He refuses point-blank unless there’s a screen in front of him, and even then, he’ll consume anything indiscriminately. I’m seeking advice on how to change this eating habit of his. Could you please share any effective tips you might have?”
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice the outpouring of advice from Brittany’s followers, filling countless pages with their pearls of wisdom. Later, Brittany graciously acknowledged everyone’s support and shared updates on the situation, for which I am truly grateful.
She acknowledged in a later Instagram Story that many of you suggested letting him eat when he’s hungry, but she’s tried this approach before and it hasn’t worked out well. He’d throw tantrums and demand snacks, leaving her feeling unable to withstand his screams and eventually giving in to his demands. Consequently, she can no longer follow that method.
But Brittany did find some solace in the responses she got from fellow moms and professionals.
1. She acknowledged, “Many of you suggested I should let this pass, for the sake of my tranquility and wellbeing, do what seems best for me.” This advice brought her comfort and alleviated guilt. He’s quite remarkable, eating everything from broccoli to rice, chicken, steak, and peas. At this stage in his life, ensuring he gets proper nutrition appears to be the top priority.
Brittany additionally made it clear that she intended to consider the suggestions given to her for the upcoming weeks.
She continued, “Many of you suggested I gradually reduce its use, which I certainly plan to do.” “That’s an excellent suggestion. I’ll share what methods I discover, if I’m able to find success!”
