Pregnant Brittany Mahomes Details Lesson Learned After Back Injury

As a dedicated fan and wellness enthusiast, I can wholeheartedly appreciate Brittany Mahomes‘ journey of resilience and recovery. Her experiences, from her back fracture to her pregnancy, have undeniably shaped her into a strong advocate for mindful fitness and self-care.

Brittany Mahomes knows exactly how to bounce back now.

Following a Sports Illustrated model, who has two children Sterling (age 3) and Bronze (20 months) with Patrick Mahomes and is expecting their third child, experienced a back injury earlier in the year. She subsequently discussed effective methods for recuperation following childbirth.

On the Whoop podcast on August 28, Brittany emphasized the importance of pelvic floor therapy and proper breathing techniques to avoid injury. She shared her personal experience, stating that despite a lifetime of working out, she injured her back after having children because she didn’t adjust her workout routine accordingly.

Brittany confessed that it was her back injury, which she initially shared in March, that made her start taking low-impact workouts earnestly.

She remembered, “I visited a therapist, a chiropractor, and had X-Rays done. In the end, many people discuss pelvic floor therapy and strengthening your pelvic floor post-childbirth, emphasizing its importance. Given my injury, I focused more on this type of therapy since it seemed to be what my treatment involved.”

The 28-year-old also emphasized that she wanted her fans to learn from her own mistakes.

She emphasized that when exercising, it’s crucial to focus on improving your breathing and mastering your core techniques rather than just lifting heavy weights without proper attention. In simpler terms, it’s more beneficial to work from within and pay attention to the finer aspects of exercise, as opposed to simply going through the motions with heavy weights. This becomes particularly important after having children, she noted, and is a lesson she has learned herself recently.

After having their 20-month old child with the Kansas City Chiefs player, Brittany seems to have found herself juggling a bit too many responsibilities all at once. However, she’s been providing periodic updates on her recovery process.

She shared with TopMob News in May that she’s truly thriving and enjoying her existence. She’s happy to report that her spine is now healed, which is wonderful news.

Earlier this month, a co-owner of Kansas City Current expressed her enthusiasm about reaching a gym milestone during her recuperation process.

She mentioned in her August 19 Instagram post that it had been approximately a year since her back injury, and this was her first time doing the back squat again. She expressed feeling fantastic about it!
