Pregnant Hooters Waitress Reveals How Her Growing Bump Boosts Her Tips

A Hooters staffer is going viral for sharing how pregnancy is affecting her line of work.

Gabrielle Harlan, a waitress at a restaurant chain who is pregnant with her first child, has shared insights about how her visible baby bump has influenced the tips she gets at work. Specifically, she mentioned that the tips she receives have noticeably increased since her pregnancy belly became more prominent.

As a seasoned lifestyle advisor, I’d like to share an experience I recently had. In the comments section of one of my TikTok videos, a gentleman acknowledged that I was putting in more effort than any pregnant woman he’s encountered so far. Interestingly, he generously tipped over half the bill, despite my assertion that I was only giving “the bare minimum.

As Harlan put it, “All I did was make sure his drink was never empty.”

Regarding her work outfits, Harlan switched from the typical white shirt and orange shorts at Hooters to a black T-shirt and matching shorts (both provided by the restaurant) when she reached 23 weeks pregnant. However, she wasn’t the only employee taking advantage of the maternity clothing options.

Harlan shared that there are currently three people present, but there will be an additional three individuals within the next 5-6 months.

Modeling her new uniform, she added, “They are really big on supporting women here at Hooters.”

The modification in the clothing style is an aspect of the “revised image policy” that Hooters aims to make more welcoming and inclusive.

In their recent online announcement, the company made it clear that Hooters Girls now have the freedom to select between classic and modern uniform options. They’re able to pick the shorts style that flatters their body type and aligns with their personal image the most.
