Pretty Little Liars Cast Ready for Revival, But Only If This Happens

Exciting update for Pretty Little Liars enthusiasts! The beloved drama-mystery series seems to be making a comeback, as there’s growing buzz about its potential return.

Fifteen years after the initial airing of the series, the cast and producer Marlene King have expressed their desire for a reunion in Rosewood, but this time on the silver screen.

For seven thrilling years, I followed the captivating journey of four extraordinary friends – Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) – who were reunited in a quest for truth when our beloved Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) mysteriously vanished. The series, titled Pretty Little Liars, spanned seven seasons, keeping viewers hooked with its intricate plotlines and suspenseful twists.

The series captivated audiences with its constant revelation of hidden truths and unexpected plot twists, each one more thrilling than the last.

There may be new developments or insights emerging shortly, as during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on the fifteenth anniversary of the show’s premiere, it was strongly hinted that there is a desire for a movie sequel.

Initially asked about a possible reunion, King mused: “We often discuss such possibilities. A movie or a 10-episode series set in Rosewood sounds intriguing. I’d need to devise an appealing concept to gather everyone and decide on the direction. However, I believe the cast would be enthusiastic about it.

Perhaps now is the right moment to discuss further developments for our characters. We’ve had sufficient time to accumulate new, distinctive life experiences for them, which will make the story feel both familiar and unique.

Bellisario mentioned: “A movie seems fitting since I don’t believe it could continue as a series any longer. However, it would be fantastic to catch up with these characters again. We hold them dear, having been part of our lives for seven years and then disappearing from them for another seven. Thus, this is the ideal moment to discover where they stand now.

Additionally, there was backing for the film’s resurgence not just from Mitchell, but also from Blackburn, Benson, Harding, and Pieterse. Furthermore, Mitchell explicitly stated that if the revival were to happen, it must involve everyone or not at all.

She often mentioned to Marlene and the other ladies that in the time to come, there might be an opportunity for us all to reunite and engage in something enjoyable, similar to what Sex and the City did. I find that idea quite endearing if we were to all decide to do it. I’m always ready for such an eventuality. They are aware of my feelings. It would need to be a collective effort. I can’t imagine doing it without my friends by my side.

Previously, there have been hints about a Pretty Little Liars movie, but according to King, it didn’t come through because of some business-related issues.
