The series was first announced when filming began back in March 2024.
What is Fear about?
Martin Compston (let’s call him Martyn) and his partner Rebecca decide to start anew in Glasgow, leaving London behind. They move into a charming home with their two little kids.
Initially, the new home appears charming, but when neighbor Solly McLeod begins making unsettling remarks to Rebecca, it gradually unfolds into a situation that proves much more menacing.
In the midst of allegations that no parent would ever want to confront, and with no assistance forthcoming from the authorities, Martyn and Rebecca find themselves at a loss, unsure where to seek aid.
The show derives its plot from a novel titled identically by Dirk Kurbjuweit, which in turn drew some loose inspiration from the author’s personal experiences.
