Subsequently, Giuffre filed a lawsuit against the royal in a federal court. The royal settled this lawsuit in the following year, according to NBC News, although he has consistently denied any sexual encounters with her.

However, despite the passing of Giuffre (who has three children with her estranged husband Robert Giuffre), her brother Danny Wilson persisted in championing her cause and provided additional reasons for her determination to speak out about the alleged abuse she experienced.
