Prince Louis is getting the royal treatment.
To celebrate the milestone of their youngest’s seventh birthday, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a fresh photograph of him.
In this delightful moment, Louis flashes a somewhat gums-focused grin at the camera, perched on a rocky wall overlooking a garden bursting with purple blossoms. Dressed for the event, the prince donned dark denims, a plaid shirt with buttons, and a green sweater of a deep hue.
On April 23rd, a message was posted alongside the portrait they shared on their Instagram account, wishing Prince Louis a joyful 7th birthday!
Each year, as a custom, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrate their children’s birthdays – including 11-year-old Prince George and 9-year-old Princess Charlotte, along with Louis. This traditionally includes releasing a new birthday photo. While this particular image was captured by photographer Josh Sinner, it is worth noting that Kate Middleton often takes the annual portraits herself.
Indeed, last year, she, a woman aged 43, took and posted pictures for each of her children’s birthdays, with the caption giving credit as “The Princess of Wales.” In simpler terms, the lady who is 43 years old shared photos on her kids’ birthday posts, and these photos were credited to “The Princess of Wales.
It seems that Louis, too, has inherited Kate’s fervor for photography as one of her notable characteristics.
To mark World Cancer Day, Kate, who received a cancer diagnosis in March 2024, posted a photograph captured by Louis.
In the picture, Kate is standing on a cluster of rocks nestled within the forest, with her arms outstretched as sunlight pours around her from behind.
The caption for the February 3 post reminds us not to neglect the growth and care of everything that transcends the illness.
Without revealing the details of her condition, Kate has been open about the highs and lows of her cancer battle. At the start of this year, she delighted everyone by announcing that her cancer is now in a state of peaceful recovery.
She expressed her sense of relief in being in remission and continues to stay committed to her recovery, as she shared in a post on X, the former Twitter, on January 14th. For those familiar with the journey of battling cancer, it’s understood that adapting to a new normal can be a gradual process.
Beyond expressing gratitude to the healthcare professionals who’ve been with her during her diagnosis, Kate added, “I’m excited about the promising year that lies ahead. There are many things to anticipate. A big thank you to all of you for your unwavering support.

77-year-old Graham Craker, who served as a personal protector to the royal family, including Princes Harry and William, passed away in April.
Cracker was there among the boys when they discovered that their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away. He also took part in the funeral ceremonies for her.
In 2017, Craker shared with The New York Post that during the funeral procession, he was positioned at the back of the hearse. Upon looking up, Prince William recognized him and gave a nod. Craker in turn nodded back to comfort the prince as his mother was being taken on her final journey.
As an overjoyed admirer, I can’t help but share the thrilling news: Hugh Grosvenor, a cherished relation to King Charles III, and his beloved partner Olivia Grosvenor have announced on March 12th that they are expecting their very first bundle of joy!
According to a representative, “The duchess is due to give birth this coming summer.” The couple is thrilled about the upcoming addition to their family and eagerly await the start of their shared parenthood.
Fredrik, the 22-year-old son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, passed away on March 1st, following a struggle with PolG Mitochondrial Disease, an uncommon genetic condition.
In a statement, Robert expressed, “Frederik is not just my Superhero, but also our family’s and countless friends’, and now, thanks to his PolG Foundation, he’s a hero to many worldwide. One of his extraordinary powers was his capacity to inspire and lead by setting an example.
On January 22, Prince Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, came to an agreement with News Group Newspapers (the publishers of The Sun and the now defunct News of the World) following a lawsuit he initiated in 2019. He accused the organization of engaging in unlawful activities by using journalists and private investigators to gather information on the royal family without permission.
The agreement involved the company providing “significant compensation,” along with a “comprehensive and sincere apology” to Harry, and an admission of “extensive media attention and severe invasion into his personal life, as well as that of Princess Diana of Wales,” according to NBC News.
On January 14, it was announced by the Princess of Wales that she has achieved remission following her full course of cancer treatment.
She expressed her sense of relief in being in remission and continues to concentrate on her recovery, as she put it in a post on X (previously known as Twitter) on January 14. For those who have gone through a cancer diagnosis, you understand that it requires time to adapt to this new way of life.
As I move forward into this new chapter, I’m brimming with excitement for a rewarding year that lies ahead. There’s plenty of reasons to be optimistic and eager.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Duchess of Sussex expressed her sorrow over the passing of her cherished rescue beagle, whom she welcomed into her life as early as 2015, prior to her union with Prince Harry.
On Instagram, she posted on January 7th: “I’ve shed so many tears I can’t even count them now – the kind of tears that tempt you to step into the shower, hoping the water streaming down your face will magically erase them or make you believe they don’t exist. Yet, they do. And it’s alright to feel that way as well.
Meghan expressed her gratitude for all the years of selfless love, calling him ‘my dear Guy’. She mentioned that he had enriched her life in ways she may never fully understand.
Edward “Ed” Pettifer, who was once the stepson of the former nanny to Princes William and Harry (Alexandra Pettifer, also known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke), tragically became one of the victims in the terrorist attack that took place on New Year’s Day in New Orleans.
William expressed his shock and sadness over the unfortunate death of Ed Pettifer in a message shared on Kate Middleton’s Instagram Stories on January 4th. His thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Pettifier family, as well as all those who have been affected by this devastating incident.
On January 1, the former Suits actress, who had closed her personal social media accounts prior to her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry, launched her own Instagram account for the first time.
The next day, she unveiled a fresh Netflix series called “With Love, Meghan” that, as stated in a press release, redefines the lifestyle programming genre by combining helpful tutorials and open discussions with both familiar and new acquaintances, integrating practical advice and personal stories.
