Prince Louis Had the Most Fun at Trooping the Colour

Prince Louis was the center of attention at the Trooping the Colour parade.

On June 14th, a 7-year-old boy joined his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, along with his siblings, Prince George (age 11) and Princess Charlotte (age 10), to commemorate King Charles III’s official birthday. However, it was this young lad who captured everyone’s attention with his charming demeanor, stealing the limelight.

In fact, during the Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows flypast, the Wales family stood alongside Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla, 77, on Buckingham Palace’s balcony. Among them was the youngest royal sibling who looked back at his grandfather before turning to wave to the crowd in a lively manner, mirroring the monarch’s gesture.

While George was making sure his younger brother Louis stayed well-mannered, Louis would sometimes get excited and engage with the enthusiastic crowd. At such times, the 11-year-old would gently guide him by tapping him on the arm.

After the grand spectacle of the flyby had come to an end, I found myself involuntarily glancing over my shoulder towards the cheering crowd, just one final gesture before Kate gently guided me back inside the palace.

As the last plane soared away during the flypast, I couldn’t resist taking a look at the jubilant crowd and waving once more before Kate graciously led me back to the palace.

More than 1,000 soldiers, around 200 horses and about 300 musicians united to showcase Military discipline, riding skills, and music in a grand spectacle commemorating The King’s birthday. To wrap up the festivities, the RAF Red Arrows made a special appearance, flying for the first time using a blend of eco-friendly aviation fuel,” read the royal family’s Instagram post following Trooping the Colour event. What an exciting finale!

This morning, Louis and George, both dressed in navy blue suits with red ties, made their way to Buckingham Palace in a carriage. While George remained calm, Louis couldn’t suppress his charming smile. Meanwhile, Kate and Charlotte, positioned opposite them, had a delightful matching moment, as they donned outfits in the same shade of aqua.

Last year’s annual parade saw Kate making her return, marking it as her first appearance since disclosing her cancer diagnosis three months earlier. On the other hand, the Princess of Wales recently stepped out for an event, which took place five months after she shared her remission news following extended chemotherapy sessions.

In my own words, I’m grateful for being in remission now and I’m steadfastly committed to my healing journey. Back in January, I expressed this very feeling on X. You see, if you’ve ever faced a cancer diagnosis like I have, you understand it takes time to acclimate to this new phase of life.

She went on to express her anticipation for an enriching year to come, “There’s plenty to be excited about. A big thank you to all of you for your ongoing encouragement.
